Beavers
Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old. They are the youngest section in 7th Elland Scout Group. Young People can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday.
Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making new friends, playing games, learning new skills as well as helping others.

Our beaver Scout meetings are fun and interactive; we focus on developing new skills, knowledge and confidence, with age appropriate activities, such as mini hikes, water activity days, crafts, experiments, camps and many more exciting things.
Our activities are planned to work towards our vast array of badges.
- Scouting Staged Badges, such as hiking, nights away;
- Beaver Scout Activity Badges, such as communication, safety, sports, crafts;
- Challenge Badges; Personal, Teamwork, My Skills, My World, My Outdoors, My Adventure ultimately working towards earning our Chief Scout Bronze Award.
